Post and Beam Timber Garages
These garages are all made to order to your specifications (production plans are drawn up according to your requirements for you to confirm before any part of the manufacturing process begins), therefore you can choose which timber species you prefer and still get the traditional look - these kits can be made from a variety of timber types. The current choices available are:

Tanalised spruce

Glulam (a composite engineered timber which is stress tested and very uniform for guaranteed stability)
It is even possible to mix and match. For instance you may want your garage to look like a traditional Post and Beam Garage with front facing larch post and beams to form a feature for the building. But then use a more economic timber for the rest? Not a problem, this is perfectly possible with the in-built flexibility of the this system.

As a flexible Design & Build System, we let you plan and build anything from spruce Framed Post and Beam Garages to larch Post and Beam Car Ports to Room over Post and Beam Garage units which have living accommodation over the garaging part of the building (otherwise known as carriage houses), The units can be combined to form any shape you require - ‘L’ shape, ‘U’ shape (by selecting any number of bays) or any other layout for a courtyard design.

The Beauty of Solid Timber
All sorts of timbers can be used to form the basic structure, whether in spruce or larch for any project. It is a very flexible system - be it a new build development, an extension, a refurbishment or an additional building, being a natural timber ensures it will blend in with any surrounding.

Update regarding manufacturers of Solidlox buildings
Benfield timber buildings and garages (Previously Benfield ATT and more recently trading as BT Buildings Ltd) have now gone into liquidation (their main websites being postandbeam.benfieldtimberbuildings.co.uk and benfieldtimberbuildings.co.uk). This now leaves us (Hortons Group) as the lead supplier of Solidlox timber garages and buildings (possibly the only supplier of Solidlox post and beam timber framed building kits). Our factory is set up to make any size of Solidlox garages including the room over versions.
As previous customers know, Solidlox garages are the cheapest post and beam timber framed buildings but still high quality buildings.
Not only can we make these buildings but we also offer various timber windows, personnel doors and garages doors that we can supply together with the garages and other Solidlox post and beam buildings (unlike Benfield or BT Buildings).
Hortons has installations teams as well, so we can erect in most parts of the UK.
Depending on the type of roofing you choose and your location, it may not be possible for us to undertake the tiling of the building (easy enough for a local roofer).
If you are local, then we can also lay concrete bases as well.
We are aware that there will be Benfield customers who have been left in limbo without a building. However, we can certainly help out with the same type of building so you won't need to amend any planning permissions already granted or any approved for Building Regulations.
