Oak Framed Buildings
There are 2 possible methods of constructing a "framed building", the simplest just uses a simple framework to which cladding is nailed, whereas the second (and by far the most impressive) is to use the post and beam method - this uses very heavy posts and beams to form the skeleton of the stucture (these elements are usually left exposed) and then the gaps are infilled with various sorts of claddings to suit. The Solidlox system can use a variety of timber from Dougles fir to green oak for the post and beam frame, as well as a variety of claddings as well - oak, larch, cedar, pressure treated softwood featheredge, and more!
Visit our showground
We have an example of a Beamlock garage on display in our showground, so come and see just how impressive it really is. The Solidlox system looks very similar but uses mortice and tenon joints, ie traditional build method as can be seen in many oak framed buildings, not only this but it is a much more flexible system and can be made to any shape or size without a problem.
Easy installation
We cannot stress enough how easy these buildings are to construct, if it is a single storey softwood post and beam garage or a green oak building with room above, they are simplicity themselves. Whether you choose our installation service or choose to build yourself, you can be sure that it will be a very quick and easy process - all joints are pre-fitted at the factory for a trouble free installation.
