Traditional 5.87m x 6m 2 Bay Post and Beam Garage

All of our framed garages are bespoke garages and made to order. This means that we can make any size required. All of the sizes listed below are shown to give you an idea of what a generously sized double garage is. Each entrance width gives a 2.74m width between the posts which is plenty to drive a modern car through with room to spare. We have appiied the same principle to the length of the garage as well - 5.74m is more than ample to cater for any car.

• 75mm x 175mm Corner Timber Braces, sawn or planed finish

• 25mm x 38mm softwood counter-battens ready for roofing laths & tiling
• Sawn softwood 20mm featheredged cladding for walls & gables
• 38mm x 89mm sawn wall stud framework
• Adjustable height metal post bases & anchor bolts
• Post, beam, brace & cladding timbers are untreated, ready to receive stain or other treatment.
• Softwood framework & roofing timbers are pressure treated with Protim E406 UC2

There are a number of different roof style options available for the double garage

• Low 25 degree pitch hipped roof, Ridge = 3930mm - 3980mm (planning compliant if more than 2m from a boundary)
• High 45 degree pitch hipped roof, Ridge = 5293mm - 5343mm
• Low pitch 25 degree front gable roof, Ridge = 4058mm - 4108mm
• High pitch 45 degree front gable roof, Ridge = 5568mm - 5618mm
• Low pitch 25 degree side gable roof, Ridge = 3930mm - 3980mm (planning compliant if more than 2m from a boundary)
• High pitch 45 degree side gable roof, Ridge = 5293mm - 5343mm
• High pitch 45 degree barn end roof, Ridge = 5293mm - 5343mm
• Options for room above (can have dormer windows or rooflights as shown, or a combination - POA)
