Traditional 1 Bay Post and Beam Garage

All of our framed garages are bespoke garages and made to order, therefore we can make any size required. All of the sizes listed below are shown to give you an idea of what a normal size and specification of single garage is. The 3m width gives a 2.74m width between the posts which is plenty to drive a modern car through with room to spare. We have appiied the same principle to the length of the garage as well - the internal 5.74m is more than ample to cater for any car.

• 130mm x 130mm Square Structural Timber Posts, sawn or planed finish
• 100mm x 220mm Structural Timber Beams, sawn or planed finish
• 75mm x 175mm Corner Timber Braces, sawn or planed finish
• Softwood cladding, rafters or trussed roof (depending on design), sawn finish
• Sawn softwood 20mm featheredged cladding for walls & gables
• 38mm x 89mm sawn wall stud framework
• Adjustable height metal post bases & anchor bolts
• Post, beam, brace & cladding timbers are untreated, ready to receive stain or other treatment.
• Softwood roofing timbers are pressure treated with Protim E406 UC2

There are a number of different roof style options available for the single garage

• Low pitch hipped roof, Ridge = 3393mm - 3443mm (planning compliant if more than 2m from a boundary)
• High pitch hipped roof, Ridge = 4143mm - 4193mm
• Low pitch front gable roof, Ridge = 3393mm - 3443mm (planning compliant if more than 2m from a boundary)
• High pitch front gable roof, Ridge = 4143mm - 4193mm
• Low pitch side gable roof, Ridge = 3930mm - 3989mm (planning compliant if more than 2m from a boundary)
• High pitch side gable roof, Ridge = 5293mm - 5343mm
• High pitch barn end roof, Ridge = 4143mm - 4193mm
