All-terrain Mobile Home Chassis
We can supply our steel all-terrain mobile home chassis kit with lifting points that also includes a full joisted infill with an OSB deck on top to form a strong and secure platform to build any Hortons log cabins on top of - this means that your log cabin will qualify as a mobile home once installed upon it, as dictated by "The Caravan Act".
The chassis rests upon a series of adjustable concrete pads (included in the price) so there's no need for a full concrete raft foundation. We can provide extra concrete pad "shims" so that you don't even need a level plot for this typwe of chassis.

Full structural steel ring beam

Intermediate steel spacer bars

Black spray paint finish applied to all steel components for long term rust protection (other options available including galvanising)

Structural tanalised timber joists (at standard spacings - extra may be required to suit your specific layout)

Tanalised timber noggings all around perimeter

Tanalised timber base plate (we supply the bolts to fix these onto the steel ring beam)

OSB3 boards to give a flat deck over the whole structure

NB - Timber parts need to be cut and notched on site. This is because you can alter the position of the internal timber joists. Spacings can be according to the design of the building on top of it. We can add extra joists as well. It is always wise to "double up" on these if there is a partition above to provide extra support.
Flexible chassis design
We can design these chassis kits to suit any timber framed structure or interlocking log cabin.
The prices for the optional adjustable concrete plinths assumes a level site but we can also add extra concrete pad "shims" (at extra cost) to build up any low points. This therefore avoids any expensive ground levelling.
