Adjustable hinges for log cabin windows
Variations of these hinges are commonly used to hang log cabin windows
Each hinge is made of 2 parts -
Bottom part is the male half and is adjustable by rotating the body (thereby using the thread) in and out of the frame which adjusts how far away from the frame it is located.
Top half hooks onto the bottom part (the window sash has to be in the open position to do this), and is adjusted by rotating the body (thereby using the thread) in and out of the window sash which adjusts how far away from the sash it is located.
If you are planning to use these as a straight replacement for your existing hinges, then please check the spacing of the "prongs" as they can vary between different brands. If they don't match then it is just a simple case of drilling some fresh (6mm) pilot holes).
NB - these hinges rely on the sash being rebates around the edge of the frame - the top half of the hinge screws into the edge for the sash and the bottom half screws into the face side of the frame. If your door and frame are flush with each other, then DO NOT order them as they will not be suitable -
