Our prices include delivery AND installation. Yes, that is correct - our prices are already very cheap, far lower prices than other shed companies. But when you factor in the price to build the shd as well, they are amazing value. No need to try and save money by building a shed yourself, let the experts build it for you.
The first thing to point out is that a shed does require a base. It cannot be built directly onto your grass or a patch of soil.
The simple answer is that a shed base needs to be hard, flat and level -
Hard - this means that it does not move when jumped on, does not leave foot imprints when you walk on it (ie shingle for example).
Flat - It is possible to describe a surface as generally "flat", but there could still be peaks and troughs inbewteen the two reference poits that a level or straight edge is placed between. This will only lead to log term problems when the shed flooe settles into these uneven areas. Windows and doors may not work properly, or you may end up with a bouncy floor.
Level - A base that is exactly level is definitely required. If your base is not level then your shed will have a bad start in life and it will only ever get worse. Again, your base does need to be level all the way across, it cannot dip in the middle for example as this will only lead to a bouncy floor again.
Hortons offers various base options for sheds, these options are listed as optional extras in the product listings.
